Holistic Kind is a holistic nature-based play experience, offering care for children under 4 years of age.
We understand the importance of nature in everyday life.
Our space is set against a beautiful rainforest reserve in Buderim, Queesnsland. With kangaroos, lizards, frogs and a range of bird life in our garden, the natural environment creates a magical place for children to learn and engage with nature.
Each child is a creative being who learns & grows in a creative environment.
For children, play is learning. There is no better space for kids to learn than the outdoors, and there is no better play resource than nature.
Children have an inherent urge to learn and to master all that is in the environment around them. Nature play significantly improves all aspects of child development – physical, cognitive, social and emotional.
We encourage children to develop an understanding of our environment, the world as a global community, the value of diversity, the power we hold as individuals, and the positive impact we can have.
We practice mindfulness and gratitude to assist children in building self-awareness, resilience, and the beginnings of their mind - body connection.
We are passionate about sustainability, and have implemented permaculture practices within our space.
>>> Our Up-cycle & Recycle Program
Teaching the next generation about recycling early is important, we also help spark the imagination by giving every day items new life, through play and craft.
>>> Organic Vegetable Garden
We have our own vegetable & herb garden, where we encourage the children to help tend to the plants, as well as many edible flower gardens on the property.
>>> Creating Spaces for Native Animals
We encourage the children to help us create spaces for native animals and insects, to help them get a sense of the creatures we are sharing the earth with.
>>> Organic Cleaning Products
Cleanliness doesn't have to mean toxicity - all our products used for cleaning are organic and non-toxic. This is as important to our water source and run-off, as it is for little hands.
Holistic Kind is a screen free environment - Little people have plenty of time to get aquatinted with screens of all kinds, so we make sure their time with us is screen free.
